Part 6 :- Moving Into Our Hostel 🇹🇷🏡
As I mentioned in my previous blog, we had already visited our hostel, and the next day was finally the day we had to move from our hotel to our hostel.
We woke up around 9 in the morning. Our check-out time from the hotel was 2 PM, and thankfully, we had already done most of our packing the night before. We just packed the little things that were still left and started getting ready for our move.

Our hostel was in Beyazıt, while our hotel was in Avcılar, so we had quite a distance to travel. Since we had a lot of luggage with us, we booked a taxi and started our journey towards Beyazıt.
The journey itself was beautiful. One thing we had heard before coming to Turkey was that Istanbul is full of history, and we could actually see it while travelling. Along the way, we saw beautiful old buildings, parks, and so many different views of the city.
While travelling from Avcılar, we also passed through Florya. The seaside there was absolutely beautiful.

The moment we saw it, we really wanted to stop and explore the area, but since we had to move all our luggage first, we decided that we would definitely visit Florya another day.
There were many other beautiful places and stops along the way. Later, we passed near Topkapı, where we saw a lovely park with a beautiful fountain. We also got glimpses of some historic walls and old structures. It honestly felt like we were travelling through history.

After a long journey, we finally reached our hostel in Beyazıt.
We had taken one room where my friend and I were going to stay. After putting our luggage inside, the first thing we needed to do was clean the room and arrange everything.
Before starting the cleaning, we ordered some food with our colleagues because we were already hungry. For breakfast, we tried some Turkish-style food. One of the dishes was a soft, bread-like item filled with a mixture of potatoes and herbs.

We also tried lahmacun, a thin Turkish flatbread topped with minced meat, tomatoes and herbs.
It was served with lemon, tomatoes, parsley and mint, which we could add on top ourselves. I really liked it because it was light, tasty and perfect for a quick meal. We also noticed that Turkish people really enjoyed this kind of food.

After breakfast, we finally started cleaning and organizing our room. We cleaned everything properly and arranged our belongings inside the cupboards. It took quite a lot of time, and by the time we finished, we were completely exhausted.
After taking a shower and resting for a while, we decided to have dinner at a restaurant very close to our hostel. It was actually right near our room, which made it very convenient.
The restaurant served both Pakistani and Turkish food, along with a lot of fast food. We ordered rice with chicken, cold drinks and fries. The food was really good, but the fries were my favorite! They had added a special seasoning on top, which made them taste so delicious.

They also served different sauces in small boxes, including mustard sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and another special sauce.
After dinner, we went outside for a little walk. It was quite cold and a fresh breeze was blowing. Since we had just taken a shower, the cold air made us feel even colder, but honestly, it felt so good. We had shawls around our shoulders and our hair was open, and every time the cool wind passed through, we could feel a little chill. It was one of those simple moments that somehow stay in your memory.

We walked a little around our new area and explored the streets. By that time, most places were already closed because it was around 10 PM, but the streets were still beautifully lit.
The roads in our area were also quite steep, with many slopes and uphill streets, so even our little walk felt like an adventure! 😂
We didn't explore the whole area that night, but whatever little we saw, we really enjoyed it.

Eventually, we came back to our room and rested because we were tired from the entire day's packing, travelling, cleaning and settling in.
It was our first proper day in our new area, and even though it was exhausting, it was also full of little moments that made us happy.
And now, we had another exciting thing to prepare for…
Our university day was coming! 🎓🇹🇷
